Trauma Care for the Working K9 (Advanced Trauma)

This advanced course is designed for the working K9. Police K9 handlers, Search and Rescue, Firefighters, EMT- Basic's and Paramedics. Upon completion police handler's will receive a FREE first aid kit specifically built from Dr Lisa Booth and Kits for K9's. All student will receive a three year certification in this self paced course and students will learn all aspects of K9 emergency care, with lectures, demonstrations and viewing of hands on skills practice.

Contents: Advanced Trauma Care Guidelines, First Aid Kits, Dog Behavior, K9 Positioning, Restraining and Muzzling, Normal Vital Signs, O2 Support, Basic and Advanced CPR, Choking, Bleeding, Ear Wrap, Tail Wrap, Ear Care, Eye Injuries, Pad injuries, Broken Nails, Puncture Wounds including bullet and knife wounds, Lameness, Narcotics and Narcan, Post Search Decontamination, Poisons, Seizures, Diabetes, Heat Stroke, IV Catheter Insertion, Applying SPo2, Tension pneumothorax, K9 Intubations, Bloat Decompression, Chest Trauma, Electrical Injuries, Porcupines, Skunks, Surgical Cricothyrotomy, EKG Placements. There is also additional content as Dr. Booth will cover some common diseases for you to look out for with your K9.

Certification will be issued upon 80% Pass rate and CPR Skills Submission. Course is non refundable and has a 60 day completion period once registered. Certification is valid for three years. Cost $149.00
